U.S. Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN-05) released a statement condemning the judges who were part of the earlier cases against Muhammad Muhammad, the Somali immigrant who allegedly raped a woman in August. The victim died following the attack.
“Meet Muhammad A. Muhammad. He was recently caught allegedly RAPING a woman on the steps of a church on Nolensville Road in Nashville,” wrote Ogles in a Friday post to X. “He is a Somali migrant let in by Obama.”
Ogles revealed that Muhammad was arrested “over a dozen times,” but that every previous case against him, ranging from “drugs to indecent exposure to criminal trespass,” was previously dismissed by Nashville judges.

“Every judge and prosecutor who let him off the hook was a DEMOCRAT,” wrote the Tennessee Republican. “As long as local liberals are running things in Middle Tennessee, we are at war. The state should impeach all of the judges. Send the guard to Nashville.”
He additionally posted the names of multiple judges who he said oversaw the various cases against Muhammad, which date from 2015 to 2025.
These included multiple judges in Davidson County General Sessions Court, including Judge Lynda Jones, who he said dismissed a driver’s license charge against Muhammad in 2015; Judge Robin Kimbrough-Hayes, who reportedly dismissed a public intoxication charge against Muhammad in 2023; Judge John Aaron Holt, who allegedly dismissed another public intoxication charge in 2023; Judge Rachel Bell, who Ogles said dismissed a criminal trespassing charge at the request of Davidson County District Attorney Glenn Funk earlier this year; and Judge Melissa Blackburn, who he said dismissed three separate criminal trespassing cases against Muhammad in 2025.
Ogles also listed Davidson County Criminal Court Judge Jim Todd, who served in the General Sessions Court until September. Todd reportedly dismissed a public indecency charge against Muhammad earlier this year.

Muhammad was most recently arrested on August 14. He is charged with four counts of rape after allegedly assaulting a 34-year-old woman, who authorities said was understood to be homeless and appeared to be inebriated at the time of the attack.
According to Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), Muhammad allegedly “made physical contact with the victim as she went in and out of consciousness as she tried to push him away. He ultimately lifted her off the steps, put her on the ground, and repeatedly sexually assaulted her.”
The victim died after being transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Hospital.
An MNPD spokesman previously confirmed to The Tennessee Star that Muhammad was born in Somalia.
