FRANKLIN, Tennessee – Clay Travis, John Rich, and other well-known speakers highlighted an event Tuesday where organizers urged Williamson County residents to rise up against woke ideologies in the public school system.
Members of Williamson Families, a Political Action Committee (PAC), also pressed the several hundred audience members to stand up to — and even run against — school board members who neglect their constituents’ most basic concerns.
Organizers held the event at Liberty Hall at The Factory in Franklin.
Travis, whose children attend Williamson County Schools and who co-hosts The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, said the woke ideology is destined to destroy itself — but only if frustrated Americans stand up and say “no more.”
“Like a lot of you, I paid attention to who I voted for governor. I paid attention to who I voted for for mayor, congressman, and senator. I never ever thought about who I voted for a school board election my entire life,” Travis told the audience.
“I know that that was a flaw now. I know that not being as engaged as a parent allowed what has happened over the last 18 months to happen.”
Hollywood actress Leigh-Allyn Baker, who spoke out against a COVID-19 mask mandate at a recent Williamson County School Board meeting, also appeared onstage.
“I went from America’s favorite Disney mom to America’s favorite domestic terrorist,” Baker said in jest.
The Bible, Baker went on to say, commands people in several passages — 365 of them — not to fear.
“God has given you a do not be afraid for every day of the year,” Baker said.
“So surely you can find your bravery for such a time as this.”
Robby Starbuck, a Republican running to replace U.S. Representative Jim Cooper (D-TN-05) also spoke, alongside his wife Landon.
“We are going to say no to the people who want to control us. We are going to say no to the school systems who want to go and indoctrinate our children,” Robby Starbuck said.
“We are going to say no to every level of government that wants to tell us where we can work, when we can work, if we can open our doors, if we can’t open our doors, if we have to wear a mask inside or outside. It doesn’t matter. We say no.”
Landon Starbuck, meanwhile, told audience members about what she said are globalist goals to take away parental rights, destabilize the nuclear family, and divide families against themselves.
U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) endorsed Robby Starbuck’s candidacy in June.
Rich, a Country Music star, performed later in the evening.
Williamson Families, according to its website, advocate for strong family values, individual responsibility, respect for tradition, and innovation for the future.

I personally want to thank all of the Woke Public School Ideological Democrats.
Without them,, we might never have had this Red Wave especially in Virginia. So Thank you so much‼ and as it gets closer to 2022 and then 2024 please kick up your rhetoric so we can get a republican House and Senate and Donald Trump back in the White House thank you thank you so much
Congratulations to Robin Steenman and her team for hosting an amazing evening. All of the speakers were excellent, and in my humble opinion, John Rich was the highlight. John’s political assessment and commentary was spot on and his ability to weave in an entertainment aspect, BOOM, over the top!
We are blessed to have him in the fight, and on our side!
I realize that Robby and his wife Landon have “spoken” at many of our events that have taken place recently in our area, beginning with the Stop the Steal Rallies in Nashville last year. I do not know Leigh-Allyn Baker, but know she has “spoken” at a school board meeting in Williamson Co. Pardon me, but I’m a little skeptical of people who move to town from Hollyweird and become instant celebrities!! Clay Travis is the real thing, but I do not know about these other 3. Think about it . . . I’m just saying we need to watch them.
They are here because they fled Hollyweird and Comni-fornia. We are blessed to have them come and not try to change our values, but to help us fight to retain them! If fame or money was the driving force in their life, they would have stayed where they were!
Yes, watch them, but in the mean time find out what their upcoing opponent has said or
done in community & especially if an incumbunt for the board. 4 voted to drop religion exemtion on mask recently!
I’m not advocating for violence, but the time for talk is over. We need to take back our towns, our cities, our state, and our country!
Hopefully the gubernatorial win in Virginia is the start of a red wave that will nullify President Bozo’s agenda and send a message to RINOs that we’ve had enough. Straighten up, fly right, or else your political career is over.
Only when the “adults” in the community say enough, only then will common sense return. The adults voting in Minneapolis made clear they had enough. They strongly rejected the proposal to defund the police department. The voters in Virginia rejected the left wing democrat who had a platform to further erode public education. The voters in San Francisco approved a measure to recall their left wing District Attorney. That can happen here in Tennessee as well. To the woke movement regardless of office held, from the city to the county, to the state capitol, and on to Washington DC, we have had more than enough We have had more than enough of renaming schools and buildings. We have had more than enough of the Creating Racial Tension (CRT) opportunists. Enough!
I would like to tell Clay Travis to pay attention then to the county commission and county mayoral races. Rogers Anderson (mayor of Williamson County) is a relic, he and the Williamson County commission are nothing more than the good old boys club. Look at where funds are going – Williamson County Medical Center (aka Vanderbilt) and other private entities where the commission families have a connection. Also, remember that the mayor and commission appoints the WCS superintendent. They loved Looney the grifter and are all in for Golden. There is no accountability to the taxpayers.
I am so glad they had this meeting. Williamson County School Board self importance is out of control. The politics of education is so dominating today that there are not enough educators and administrators strong enough to stand up to the politics of the following, will they renew my contract or not . It would probably stun people as to how many administrators at the central office make a 100k plus a year and a few make 200k plus.. The one thing I always knew about Williamson County Schools that made the system successful was parent involvement, busing in Nashville ruined local schools and parent involvement – politics. Great meeting!
It was a great turnout last night. Nice to see people engaged. But the movement needs to grow exponentially. Nothing will get better without involvement. And to the smug clowns over at Williamson Strong, your day is coming.
Yeah, I am blown away. Williamson County Public Schools are suppose to be some of the best in the State. I informed the School Board once, at one of their meetings, that my son told me, when he got to the University of Tennessee, that they ‘in now way prepared him for college.’ And he was even in their “Honor” classes. Go figure.
And then with the masking of children, with no Science to back them up? Even the disclaimer labels on the boxes state ‘they do not stop the spread of Coronavirus.’
Needless to state, I have been tempted to sell and move to Florida.
