Crom’s Crommentary: Women in Growing Numbers Are Revulsed by Democrat Party’s Positions on Touchpoint Issues

Live from Music Row, Wednesday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed the original all-star panelist Crom Carmichael to the studio for another edition of Crom’s Crommentary.

CROM CARMICHAEL:

Michael, you all were discussing this as I was listening on my way into the studio. There’s been a dramatic shift away from Democrats to Republicans. This is especially true with women and especially even more so true with women who have children.

They don’t necessarily have to be married, but they do have children. And what is happening, is you have a confluence of two or three things that are all coming together and crystallizing.

Many of these women who work very hard, either at work or taking care of their families, they’re now focusing on the issues before the election because that’s the nature of the electorate that starts focusing hard after Labor Day.

And there are three issues that Democrats support, that when women learn that Democrats support them, they are either angry or they’re just disgusted, or a combination of the two.

And those three things are: One is, the educational achievement of the schools in our country is now becoming apparent. It’s getting worse and worse and worse. In Illinois, for example, this is statewide. In 2019, 36 percent of all third graders could read at grade level – 36 percent. That was in 2019. That’s an F.

Yes, Every Kid

And that’s the good news. This is from The Wall Street Journal. That number has dropped to 27 percent for Hispanics and 22 percent for black students statewide. And so mothers are now realizing that the school systems that Democrats support, that are run by teachers’ unions, are not performing at the level that they should.

Number two: I don’t know if you saw this. The CDC is now recommending that schools require all children above the age of 5 to have the COVID vaccine. And this is without any evidence that it is more beneficial than the risks. And so people see that.

And “my body, my choice”? I’m sorry. That’s what Democrats think about a single issue. On every other issue, it’s my government, you bend the knee. And women are getting revulsed by that. And then the last thing is this whole thing about trying to cause young children, and I’m talking about children under the age of 15, to take puberty blockers and to actually have their bodies physically altered.

And this is now – if it’s not a plank in the Democrat playbook, if it’s not official, it certainly is unofficial. And it’s all across the country, even here in Nashville, while it’s not specifically that issue – and this is kind of a surprise to me – TPAC is having what they call a family-friendly drag show, and they call it a Christmas show.

That just doesn’t make any sense to me. I know people who support TPAC, and they’re good people, but this is kind of part of this left-leaning craziness like the Vanderbilt Hospital. What it did in terms of, and they did it just clearly for the money and told their employees, if you don’t like it, quit. And now they got caught. And so they’re stopping that.

But when you start down this path, if there’s not a party, then the Republican Party needs to be the party that says, wait a minute: let’s have a discussion about this, and let’s come to some rational rules, i.e., laws on how we’re going to handle this.

But you’ve got education, you’ve got COVID, and now you’ve got this transitioning. And women are becoming scared today of the Democrat Party, and they have every right to be.
