As a mother raising my children in Williamson County, Tennessee, I want leaders who will protect our future and uphold the values that make our nation strong. State Representative Lee Reeves (R-Franklin) is that leader. His pledge to make his first bill in Congress one that ends birthright citizenship, combined with his alignment with President Donald J. Trump’s America First agenda, shows he’s committed to securing our borders and safeguarding our communities for families like mine.
Reeves has already proven his resolve in Tennessee. Through House Bill 749, he empowered local law enforcement to tackle illegal immigration, human trafficking, and the fentanyl crisis threatening communities across our state. His push to expand the 287(g) program, which allows local officers to work with ICE to detain criminal aliens, is critical when we consider the alarming statistic that 2,719 illegal immigrants were charged with crimes in Tennessee from October to December 2024, including 11 homicides and 447 violent offenses. As a mother, I want my children to grow up in a safe community, and Reeves’ leadership delivers on that promise.
Now, as he campaigns for Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District, Reeves is taking his fight national with a bold plan to end birthright citizenship. This policy, which grants automatic citizenship to children born on U.S. soil regardless of their parents’ immigration status, incentivizes illegal border crossings and strains our resources – resources meant for US citizens and their families. Reeves’ bill would require at least one parent to be a U.S. citizen or legal resident for a child to gain citizenship, closing a loophole that undermines our sovereignty. As he’s stated, “This policy overwhelms law enforcement and local governments.” I agree—our communities and families shouldn’t bear the cost of unchecked immigration. His plan aligns with President Trump’s executive order to curb birthright citizenship, a move that, despite legal hurdles, signals the urgency of reform.
Reeves’ proposal isn’t just about policy—it’s personal. As a mother, I worry about the future my children will inherit. Reeves’ commitment to “demagnetize” America from illegal immigration, gives me hope that we can restore order and fairness. He’s not just another politician—he’s someone who understands the real-world impact of these issues and isn’t afraid to tackle them head-on.
Beyond immigration, Reeves fights for families. He’s passed laws to protect election integrity, ensuring our votes count, and championed school choice to give parents like me a voice in our children’s education. His support for Second Amendment rights, fiscal responsibility, and strong alliances, like Israel, mirrors Trump’s priorities, making him a true partner in the America First movement.
For mothers like me, Lee Reeves represents hope for a secure, prosperous future. His bold plan to end birthright citizenship and his proven record on immigration and family values make him the leader Tennessee’s 7th District needs in Congress. With Reeves fighting alongside President Trump, I’m confident we can build a stronger, safer America for our children.
