Former Vice President Mike Pence and his nonprofit organization, Advancing American Freedom, on Monday launched new political attacks on U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who they claimed has failed to deliver results to pro-life conservatives since being confirmed by the Senate on February 13.
“RFK Jr must go,” Pence’s administration said in a memo reported by RealClearPolitics. The nonprofit group reportedly called on the Trump administration “to kick this progressive wolf in pro-life sheep’s clothing to the curb.”
It also reported Pence told the outlet Kennedy is “unable or unwilling to deliver on his many promises to the pro-life movement.”
According to the reporting, Pence and his nonprofit criticized the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for not completing a safety review of the abortion drug mifepristone, as well as the approval of a generic form of the drug, and alleged inaction on the prior administration’s policies regarding mailing abortion drugs to other states.
It also accused Kennedy’s agency of breaking promises made to pro-life lawmakers, not responding to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests in a timely manner, and advancing “progressive pro-abortion policies” under the Trump administration.
Highlighting the article, Pence wrote in a post to X, “Kennedy should step aside and give President Trump the opportunity to select a new HHS Secretary who will deliver pro-life results for the American people.”

While RealClearPolitics reported the memo from Pence’s group “signals that the Trump coalition may be fraying,” it is not the first time the group has criticized Pence’s old boss over Kennedy’s appointment.
“While RFK Jr. has made certain overtures to pro-life leaders that he would be mindful of their concerns at HHS, there is little reason for confidence at this time,” wrote Advancing American Freedom in a letter reported by Daily Wire in January.
President Donald Trump appeared to respond to the letter by announcing that his administration would not consider employing those recommended by Pence, as well as others who, he wrote, were suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
“In order to save time, money, and effort, it would be helpful if you would not send, or recommend to us, people who worked with, or are endorsed by, Americans for No Prosperity (headed by Charles Koch), ‘Dumb as a Rock’ John Bolton, ‘Birdbrain’ Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, disloyal Warmongers Dick Cheney, and his Psycho daughter, Liz, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, General(?) Mark Milley, James Mattis, Mark Yesper,” wrote Trump, “or any of the other people suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, more commonly known as TDS.”
Pence briefly ran for president in 2024, but ended his campaign in October 2023, only months after announcing his candidacy.
During his short campaign, Pence defended his actions on January 6, 2021, when he accepted votes from states where multiple Republicans in Congress raised concerns about the 2020 election results.
“But I do believe a day of tragedy became a triumph of freedom. And I’ll always believe, by God’s grace, I did my duty that day under the Constitution of the United States of America,” said Pence in response to a July 2023 question about his position on the events of January 6.
Trump has called his former vice president a “human conveyor belt,” referring to Pence’s claim that he did not have the constitutional authority to reject electoral slates. During the early days of the Biden administration, Democrats notably changed the Electoral Count Act to largely comport with Pence’s position on the vice president’s power.
A new book recently claimed Trump warned Pence he would “go down as a wimp” for refusing to contest the election results. Though Trump has denied making the comments, he reportedly told Pence, “If you do that, I made a big mistake five years ago.”
While Pence’s nonprofit is a 501 (c) (4) organization, and thus not required to divulge the sources of its funding, it has reportedly received more than $3.1 million from other nonprofits since 2021. Advancing American Freedom reported nearly $9 million in revenue in its tax filing for 2023.

Yeah, show the pics of Pence fist-bumping the folks who stole the 2020 election. He’s a traitor like all the rest of the Deep State.
