Powerful Public Figures Spread False Info About Charlie Kirk Assassination, Beliefs, Invent Quotes

Charlie Kirk

Public employees across the U.S. are facing sanctions including firing for social media comments that celebrate or condone the assassination of Charlie Kirk, sometimes selectively paraphrasing his comments on the Second Amendment’s tradeoffs as Kirk’s admission that he could be hoisted by his own petard.

High-profile public figures and institutions from New York to Washington and Dallas to Hollywood have gone beyond cherrypicking Kirk’s words since his death, however, attributing others’ words to him, fabricating or editing quotes and making assertions about his alleged killer and political movement that are lacking or contradicted by hard evidence.

New Audio Undermines Biden Admin’s Justification for Peter Navarro Arrest

Peter Navarro

The Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) justified its decision to arrest Trump advisor Peter Navarro by claiming he was “combative,” but audio of his May 2022 encounter with FBI agents obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation undermines their reasoning.

Secretive House Caucus Backs Jody Barrett in TN-7 Despite His Prior Opposition to Trump’s Agenda

Jody Barrett

Though the House Freedom Fund, the political arm of the House Freedom Caucus (HFC), last week announced its endorsement of State Representative Jody Barrett for the Republican nomination to represent Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District, the 10-year-old congressional caucus did not respond to a Tuesday press inquiry seeking information about its methodology.

While HFC has historically supported school choice, the endorsement of Barrett notably follows his ineffective opposition to the Tennessee Education Freedom Act, the landmark school choice law passed earlier this year with the support of President Donald Trump, who congratulated the majority of Tennessee Republicans for moving forward with the legislation in January.

Commentary: AG Jonathan Skrmetti Is a Second Amendment Champion and Conservative Hero

Jonathan Skrmetti

Mainstream conservatives in Tennessee must recognize the threat presented by anti-GOP agitators posing as grassroots activists. They are demagogues using tactics and strategies from the Democrats’ playbook.

As a conservative Republican who has been politically active in every state in which I have lived during my adult life, I find it odd that phony anti-GOP agitators in Tennessee find a receptive audience among uninformed grassroots activists, for whom overheated hyperbole serves as a substitute for reasoned argument. The latest brouhaha involves Hughes v. Lee, a lawsuit filed in a lower-level trial court in Gibson County challenging some of Tennessee’s gun laws. Attorney General Skrmetti’s decision to appeal a poorly-reasoned decision by the three-judge panel has elicited howls of protest from the grifters who foment dissension within the ranks of conservative voters in Tennessee.
