Tate Reeves

Republican Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves called off a planned special session to redraw the state’s Supreme Court districts, even as he said Mississippi could still revisit its congressional map amid a broader GOP redistricting push in the South.

Andy Ogles

Leading the “Weaponized and Wiretrapped” press conference featuring congressional Republicans, U.S. Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN-05) on Wednesday recounted how he was targeted by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) under former President Joe Biden, which he said caused the FBI to serve a search warrant at his residence to seize his cell phone following his 2024 primary election victory.

“I’d been outspent four to five to one, [and] we’d won overwhelmingly, so it was a day with my family that should have really been a celebration and and relief. My son, our little one, goes outside, takes the dog out, and across the street – we live out in the country on top of a hill on a farm – so these cars were out of place, and he comes in and says, ‘Dad, there’s some cars across the street,’ said Ogles.

Biden FBI Secretly Set Up Trump to Be Indicted After He Leaves Office, Arctic Frost Memos Suggest

Trump Air Force One

In the final weeks of Joe Biden’s presidency, FBI agents tied to Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation memorialized anew their belief that President Donald Trump broke the law in contesting the 2020 election and secretly arranged to preserve their evidence until 2030 in memos that raise alarm they could revive their prosecution after Trump leaves office.

The FBI memos and emails closing out the controversial Arctic Frost investigation – obtained by Just the News – show the bureau chose not to relinquish the evidence it gathered after Smith went to court to dismiss charges against Trump, even though that is the normal practice for agents. Instead, they created a preservation order keeping the evidence in FBI custody for two years after Trump’s second term ends, claiming it was necessary to do so because of ongoing litigation, the memos show.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp Calls Special Legislative Session to Redraw Congressional Map After Supreme Court Ruling

BREAKING NEWS

CBS News   Gov. Brian Kemp on Wednesday signed a proclamation convening the Georgia General Assembly for a special session on June 17 to address redistricting in the wake of a landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling expected to require changes to Georgia’s electoral maps before the 2028 election cycle. The special session comes six weeks after the Supreme Court issued its 6-3 ruling in Louisiana v. The regular session of the 2026 General Assembly had adjourned on April 3, making a special session necessary to take up the redistricting work. READ THE FULL STORY
