Two organizations are preparing to provide training for the protesters descending on Nashville for the “Rapid Response Rally to Support Kilmar Abrego Garcia” on Friday, as revealed by one of the protest organizers, who listed an event jointly organized by a progressive legal group and climate change activists on Tuesday.
An updated web page for the protest, created by United Volunteers of TN (UVOTN), states the progressive National Lawyers Guild (NLG) and Extinction Rebellion are joining together “to put on a Know Your Rights training” just one day before the protest.
The sign-up page for the training explains, “Led by the NLG, this training will equip you with critical tools to protect yourself and others in the streets. Learn what to say, what not to say, and how to safely navigate police interactions.”
It also suggests attendees will learn what to be prepared for in the event they are arrested during the protest, explaining, “We’ll close with a vital Jail Support overview—so you know what to expect, how to support others, and how to build a safety net no one can fall through.”
The sign-up page states the training is provided by the NLG, Extinction Rebellion, and 50501 SoCal.
The NLG describes itself as the country’s “oldest and largest progressive bar association,” while 50501 SoCal appears to be the Southern California chapter of the left-wing grassroots group calling for President Donald Trump to be impeached for a third time.
Extinction Rebellion is a climate change activism group that demands the government declare a climate change emergency, achieve net-zero emissions by the end of this year, allow citizens to decide climate policy, and protect minority communities in the process. In Europe, where the Extinction Rebellion began in 2018, the group is often known for protests that block traffic on public roads and highways.
UVOTN also advised those planning to attend the protest for Abrego Garcia, who is currently jailed in Tennessee after being returned to the country by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to face an indictment accusing him of participating in a criminal conspiracy to smuggle illegal immigrants for nearly a decade, to “Read up on Protesters’ Rights from the ACLU.”
Both Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) and the U.S. Marshals Service, which provides security for the Fred D. Thompson courthouse where the event is planned to occur, acknowledged the upcoming protest in remarks to The Tennessee Star.
The Star was first to report that Abrego Garcia was observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane when Tennessee Highway Patrol pulled him over in November 2022, and that the “Biden-era FBI” instructed troopers to release Abrego Garcia despite their suspicion that he was engaged in human trafficking.

“Climate change activists” are protesting? For what?
The climate is here. It has changed, a little and it probably will change.Example: In May, 1962, the Nashville area had SIXTEEN 90 degree days. This year, NONE. To my knowledge, so far in June, today is the 18th, NO 90 degree days! Climate change? Well, the climate is here.
Who instructed the TN officers to let him go when he was caught & filmed smuggling illegals in our state ??
THAT is the question.,,,
TBI or Governers office investigating ?
