Clay Travis, founder of OutKick and media personality, endorsed U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn’s campaign for Tennessee Governor on Tuesday.
Travis, who recently praised Tennessee for applying common sense in politics, said Blackburn is the “best possible person” to lead the Volunteer State.

“I’m happy to support Marsha Blackburn for Governor of Tennessee because she’s the best possible person to lead the state going forward,” Travis, a lifelong Tennessean, said in a video amplified by Blackburn’s campaign.
Travis expressed his support for Blackburn, citing her efforts in the early 2000s as a Tennessee State Senator, when she successfully led the charge against then-Governor Don Sundquist’s proposed state income tax.
He emphasized that Blackburn’s efforts not only stopped the tax but continue to positively impact Tennessee’s economy today.
“She was right on the biggest issue that’s still leading to our economy thriving in the state today– no state income tax. We have to continue to fight for that and more. It’s one of many reasons I’m for Marsha. Join me in voting for her,” Travis added.
Blackburn said she was “honored” to have Travis as a friend and “grateful” for his support behind her gubernatorial bid.
“Clay has been a leader for the conservative movement, inspiring others across Tennessee and beyond. He’s an America First conservative who always stands firm in his beliefs,” Blackburn added.
Blackburn was also recently endorsed by U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (R-TN-02), who said there would be no “learning curve” with Blackburn at the helm of Tennessee, given her years of serving the state in multiple roles.
Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, along with many state and local officials across Tennessee, has also endorsed Blackburn in her gubernatorial bid.

I will never forget in 2021 the fundraiser for Jack Johnson in Franklin. Clay Travis spoke. The first words out of his mouth were “We need to move on from the November Election”. I think Blackburn had the same opinion. Never listened to Travis after that, RINOs are a dime a dozen.
