Trump Floats Handing Out $2,000 Tariff ‘Rebates’ to All Americans

President Donald Trump said Thursday he is still considering issuing Americans rebates of up to $2,000 using revenue generated from tariffs on imported goods.

Since taking office, the Trump administration has levied sweeping “Liberation Day” tariffs on foreign imports, as well as separate levies on key industries, including steel, aluminum, copper, and, most recently, pharmaceuticals. The federal government has collected $214.9 billion in tariffs this year, according to Fox Business, though Trump says the total could eventually surpass $1 trillion annually.

Annie Bosko Releases Debut Album ‘California Cowgirl’

Even though she has been in the music business for a while, Music Spotlight artist Annie Bosko is just now releasing her debut album, California Cowgirl. And in typical Bosko style, she is giving us a whopping 19 songs, 10 of which have never been released until now.

Often, when newer artists release their debut albums, they struggle to find enough material to fill our 9 or 10 slots. Not so with Bosko. She had the opposite problem of having too many great songs and had to narrow it down to 19.

Trump Admin Freezes $2 Billion Chicago Infrastructure Funding over ‘Race-Based Contracting’

The Trump administration has put $2.1 billion in Chicago infrastructure projects on hold over concerns about “race-based contracting.”

The funding freeze, first announced Friday morning by Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought, affects two of the city’s largest infrastructure projects — the Red Line Extension and the Red and Purple Modernization program. The administration accused Illinois of promoting race and sex-based contracting and other racial preferences as public policy.
