Bill Ready for Final Vote in Tennessee Senate Could See State Judges Removed for Obstructing Immigration Officials

The Tennessee State Senate is ready for a final vote on legislation that could see state judges removed from the bench for refusing to allow U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to enforce federal immigration law at courthouses.

Already passed as House Bill (HB) 1707 by State Representative Rick Scarbrough (R-Oak Ridge), the legislation would mandate Tennessee judges cooperate with DHS, as well as federal agencies like U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and allow any judge who obstructs immigration enforcement to be referred to the Board of Judicial Conduct.

Court Allows Meta Youth Addiction Lawsuit to Proceed in Massachusetts

BREAKING NEWS

The Hill   A Massachusetts high court ruled Friday that the state attorney general’s social media addiction case against Meta Platforms can move forward. The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled the case can proceed as Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell’s (D) case targets Meta’s alleged conduct in designing a social media platform, rather than the content posted by third-party users. Social media platforms have largely been able to avoid litigation related to their platforms because of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which protects technology companies from being held legally responsible for third-party or user content. The CPI increased 0.9% for the month, pushing the annual inflation rate to 3.3%, largely due to a 10.9% spike in energy costs resulting from the war in Iran. President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. agreed to a Pakistani-mediated ceasefire on Tuesday, though it has proven to be tenuous due in part to Israel repeatedly striking targets in Lebanon.

Mental Health Worsens After Medicalized Gender Transitions, Three-Decade Youth Study Finds

When Children’s Hospital Los Angeles pediatrician Johanna Olsen-Kennedy found no improvement in mental health for gender-confused youth who went on puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, she hid the results of her taxpayer-funded study for several years for fear the findings would be used to limit so-called gender-affirming care.

A massive Finnish study of gender-confused adolescents and young adults referred to “specialised gender identity services” over three decades, published this month in a peer-reviewed pediatrics journal, is already making waves around the world for its even more troubling implications for the highly experimental field.
