Tennessee U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) joined U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on a ride-along last week to see firsthand how the agency is working to carry out deportations of illegal aliens.
Blackburn, who was seen wearing an Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) vest during her time with the agents, wrote in an X post, “Tonight, I saw firsthand what federal agents from ICE are doing to protect our communities.”
“God bless these men and women,” the senator added.

ERO agents manage all aspects of the immigration enforcement process, including the identification, arrest, detention and removal of aliens who are subject to removal or are unlawfully present in the U.S., according to ICE.
Blackburn’s experience being on the ground with ICE agents comes weeks after the senator introduced two bills in the Senate to expedite deportations of criminal illegal aliens and protect federal law enforcement officers from being doxxed.
Earlier this month, Blackburn introduced the Protecting Law Enforcement from Doxxing Act, which would create a new specific federal doxxing offense under Section 1510 of Title 18 of the U.S. Code, targeting disclosures of law enforcement officers’ identities only when done with the intent to obstruct.
Blackburn’s introduction of the Protecting Law Enforcement from Doxxing Act followed the Metro Nashville government’s Office of New Americans publishing the names of federal law enforcement officials and their interactions with local law enforcement and emergency services, as mandated by an executive order approved by Mayor Freddie O’Connell.
Days later, Blackburn filed the Rapid Expulsion of Migrant Offenders who Violate and Evade (REMOVE) Act, which would require the U.S. Attorney General to start removal proceedings as quickly as possible after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) files a Notice to Appear (NTA) with the immigration court.
Blackburn’s REMOVE Act, which the Trump administration backs, would require the Attorney General to begin the removal process of an illegal alien convicted of a deportable offense defined by the Immigration and Nationality Act “as expeditiously as possible” after the conviction.
