Concealed Carry

The Tennessee State House on Monday passed legislation that will prohibit landlords from prohibiting renters from keeping firearms on their leased property, setting the stage for Governor Bill Lee to sign the bill into law, as the Tennessee State Senate already passed an identical version last month.

House Bill (HB) 469 by State Representative Lee Reeves (R-Franklin) will prohibit a landlord from banning tenants from carrying, transporting, or storing their legally owned firearms, gun components, or ammunition on leased property, including any vehicles stored on the property.

Federal Judge Orders March 17 Hearing for Colombian Journalist Claiming ICE Illegally Arrested Her in Nashville as Retribution for Reporting

Estefany Rodriguez

U.S. District Court Judge Eli Richardson on Monday set March 17 as the hearing date for the Trump administration to respond to the habeas corpus petition by Estefany Rodriguez, the Colombian journalist who was living in Nashville until being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) last week.

Richardson, who was appointed by President Donald Trump during his first term in the White House, originally ordered the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to provide a response to Rodriguez’s show-cause petition last week, but Rodriguez has since amended her complaint to include a First Amendment component, arguing the Trump administration illegally detained her in retribution for her critical reporting about ICE.

Oz: Millions May Be Falsely Enrolled in ObamaCare

BREAKING NEWS

The Hill   Mehmet Oz, administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), claimed in an interview published Monday that millions of people could potentially be falsely enrolled in Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans. In January, early ACA enrollment figures indicated a drop following four consecutive years of record growth, going from 23.6 million enrollees to 22.8 million from the same time last year. Iran Begins Laying Mines in Strait of Hormuz, Sources Say

BREAKING NEWS

CNN   Iran has begun laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz, the world’s most important energy chokepoint that carries about one-fifth of all crude oil, according to two people familiar with US intelligence reporting on the issue. The mining is not extensive yet, with a few dozen having been laid in recent days, the sources said. But Iran still retains upward of 80% to 90% of its small boats and mine layers, one of the sources said, so its forces could feasibly lay hundreds of mines in the waterway. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which now effectively controls the strait along with Iran’s traditional navy, has the capability to deploy a “gauntlet” of dispersed mine-laying craft, explosive-laden boats and shore-based missile batteries, CNN has reported. Commentary: Tennessee’s FAIR Rx Act Threatens a Solution to High Drug Costs

Trump RX

In February, the Trump administration launched TrumpRx.gov as a cornerstone initiative to lower prescription drug prices for American families. The platform offers unprecedented discounts ranging from 33% to 93% on essential medications. As President Trump said in his recent State of the Union address, “Americans who paid by far the highest prices of any nation anywhere in the world for prescription drugs will now pay the lowest price anywhere in the world” – all thanks to TrumpRx.

Unfortunately, Tennessee lawmakers are unwittingly sabotaging one of the most significant healthcare solutions from the Republican Party for decades. Senate Bill 2040 and House Bill 1959, misleadingly named the “Freedom, Access, and Integrity in Registered Pharmacy (FAIR Rx) Act,” threaten to close countless pharmacies across our state. These are the very pharmacies that enable TrumpRx to deliver drug price discounts that Tennessee families need and deserve.

Activist Orgs Against Iran War Have Soros Money All over Them

George Soros

Major activist groups protesting war in Iran have had millions of dollars funneled into them through George Soros-backed groups in the last decade.

Leftist groups such as the ANSWER coalition, Code Pink, and other radical groups deployed protests almost immediately following the launch of U.S. strikes on targets in Iran. Several of those anti-war nonprofits organized a “mass mobilization call” as part of that response to Operation Epic Fury, including MoveOn and Win Without War — two organizations heavily funded by the Soros network through his Open Society Foundations and Open Society Policy Institute.

Trump Targeted by Four FBI Code-Named Counterintel Probes That Ensnared Hundreds of Americans

Trump walking

President Donald Trump and his supporters were targeted by four consecutive FBI code-named counterintelligence investigations over the last decade that secretly subjected hundreds of innocent Americans to privacy-invading tactics and essentially treated the man twice elected president as a national security threat for most of the first nine years of his political career, according to interviews and documents reviewed by Just the News.

FBI Director Kash Patel has personally led the effort to review the operations code-named Crossfire Hurricane, Round River, Plasmic Echo and Arctic Frost that stretched from summer 2016 to January 2025, uncovering evidence of a far-reaching dragnet that in some cases may have been predicated on false, misleading or uncorroborated justifications, officials said.

Tax-Exempt Status of Nonprofit Tied to Lefty Violence Under the Microscope

Palestine protest

A conservative watchdog group is pushing federal regulators to investigate the tax-exempt status of a major nonprofit that has been allegedly bankrolling violent protests for years.

The Center to Advance Security in America (CASA) is requesting the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) investigate the Progress Unity Fund (PUF), a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit based in California, according to a letter obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. CASA argues that PUF is violating its tax-exempt status due to its financial support of the ANSWER Coalition, a group behind several high-profile violent protests and allegedly tied to extremist elements.

Before FBI Subpoena, Congressional Observers Flagged Commingled Ballots at Maricopa County Center

Before the FBI subpoenaed election records involving Arizona’s largest county this month, congressional staffers dispatched to monitor Maricopa County’s vote-counting process in 2024 reported “alarming” concerns that completed mail-in ballots were stored in the same room as blanks and were sorted by a third-party printing company that had no government officials or partisan observers on site, according to a copy of the observer’s report obtained by Just the News.

The concerns about one of Maricopa’s third-party run centers were detailed in a memo written during the 2024 presidential election in which Trump won, including in Arizona. That memo memorialized the observations of a Republican staff member sent by the House Administration Committee with a Democratic colleague to monitor election procedures in the county.

Clear directives were issued: eliminate DEI mandates and return personnel decisions to merit, readiness, and warfighting priorities. Public language shifted quickly—readiness over equity, mission execution over identity signaling, command authority over consensus management. Officials emphasized restoring performance-based standards tied directly to operational effectiveness and mission execution.
